Dr. Bukar Usman, DLitt, OON, folklorist, creative writer,
and historian, is the President of the Nigerian Folklore Society. He has won awards for his solid contributions to literature
and culture and for the Dr Bukar Usman Foundation's sponsorship of educational and charitable causes. He retired as a
federal permanent secretary in 1999 and has since published over 25 books. He writes in English and Hausa and this dual-language
